The ZR Whole-Blood RNA MiniPrep™ provides a streamlined method for the rapid isolation of total RNA from whole or partitioned blood in as little as 10 minutes. The procedure is based on the use of a unique buffer system combined with Fast-Spin column technology.
The procedure is easy: just add the Blood RNA Buffer to a whole-blood sample or a cell pellet (after red blood cell lysis), the sample is pre-filtered and the RNA is isolated on the Zymo-Spin™ IIIC Column and then purified and concentrated on the Zymo-Spin™ IC Column. RNA is eluted into ≥6 μl of RNase-free water. If required, the RNA can be in-tube or in-column DNase treated during the purification procedure. RNA can be isolated immediately from fresh samples or at a later time from blood stored in Blood RNA Buffer. This product is designed to isolate RNA from blood for subsequent RNA-based methods including RT-PCR, hybridization, etc.
